Dark Haus Productions was born in 2011 in the back of a tour van with a laptop and Wacom tablet. Katie Giannini, owner and artist at DHP, began her journey in retouching and design by creating logos, tour posters and retouching band photos for fellow musicians while touring the country with her band Romantic Rebel. In 2016, Katie headed back to Chicago to grow her business in the Advertising Industry. Today, Katie has grown her passion for retouching into a full time career - working with various ad agencies, photographers and brands. Katie loves the challenge of seamlessly compositing together multiple images, creating extreme photo realism in every project and taking (even stock) photos from common to incredible. Katie is always ready to creatively problem solve and make creatives’ visions a reality. At DHP, we’re always up for large volumes of images, tight deadlines and are never hindered by working remotely.
